Multigigapascal
Multigigapascal is an informal term describing pressures of several gigapascals or more. It is not an official SI unit; the standard unit is the pascal (Pa). Common multiples include kilopascals, megapascals, and gigapascals. The prefix 'multigiga-' is used to emphasize very high-pressure regimes beyond a single gigapascal.
In high-pressure physics, materials science, and planetary science, multigigapascal conditions refer to states at tens to
Generation and measurement: Static methods such as diamond anvil cells produce multigigapascal pressures, often with X-ray
Notes: Because multigigapascal is informal, it should accompany a specific value. It is a qualitative descriptor
