Mugman

Mugman is a fictional character appearing in the video game Cuphead, developed and published by Studio MDHR. He is the titular character's brother and a playable protagonist alongside Cuphead. Mugman shares a similar design to Cuphead, characterized by a ceramic mug for a head, distinguished by a brown hue rather than white. He also wears blue shorts, a red and white striped straw, red shoes, and white gloves.

Mugman's backstory, like Cuphead's, is tied to a fateful deal with the Devil. After losing a bet at the Devil's Casino, both brothers are tasked with collecting the soul contracts of debtors to the Devil. Mugman's personality is generally portrayed as more cautious and sensible than Cuphead's, often acting as the voice of reason between the two. Despite his more reserved nature, he is equally brave and determined in facing the challenges presented by their quest.

In gameplay, Mugman possesses abilities identical to Cuphead. Players can switch between the two characters, allowing for cooperative play. Both characters can dash, parry pink objects, and utilize a variety of projectile weapons and special moves. Their primary attack involves shooting from their finger, and they can acquire different "shot" upgrades throughout the game. Mugman's presence as a playable character enhances the cooperative aspect of Cuphead, allowing friends to share the challenging experience of overcoming the game's boss battles and platforming levels.
