Motivációkezelés, sometimes translated as motivation management, refers to the process of understanding, influencing, and maintaining one's own motivation or the motivation of others. It encompasses a range of strategies and techniques aimed at fostering a consistent drive to pursue goals and complete tasks. This involves identifying the sources of motivation, which can be intrinsic ( stemming from personal interest, satisfaction, or enjoyment) or extrinsic (arising from external rewards, pressures, or recognition). Effective motivation management often involves setting clear and achievable goals, breaking down large tasks into smaller steps, and celebrating progress along the way.

Understanding individual differences in motivational drivers is crucial. What motivates one person might not motivate another. This requires self-awareness and, in a leadership context, an understanding of team members' needs and aspirations. Techniques for managing motivation can include positive reinforcement, providing constructive feedback, creating a supportive environment, and fostering a sense of purpose. Conversely, a lack of motivation, or demotivation, can stem from factors such as unclear expectations, lack of autonomy, excessive pressure, or a perceived lack of reward.
