Mosvik

Mosvik is a village in central Norway that is part of Inderøy municipality in Trøndelag county. It lies along the coast in the Trondheimsfjord region and is associated with the historic Innherred district. The area is primarily rural, with coastal and agricultural landscapes shaping the local character.

Historically, Mosvik was a separate municipality in Nord-Trøndelag county. It existed as an independent entity until 2012, when it merged with the neighboring municipality of Inderøy to form a larger Inderøy municipality. Following the county realignment that took place in 2018, Nord-Trøndelag and Sør-Trøndelag were united to create the current Trøndelag county, within which Mosvik is now administratively located.

The local economy has traditionally been based on farming, forestry, and coastal activities. In contemporary times, many residents participate in the broader regional economy, commuting to nearby towns for work while maintaining rural residential and small-scale service activities in Mosvik itself.
