Monostabiilne

Monostabiilne is a term used in electronics to describe a type of multivibrator circuit. A multivibrator is an electronic circuit used to implement a variety of simple two-state systems, such as oscillators, timers, and flip-flops. A monostable multivibrator, often referred to as a monostable circuit or one-shot, has only one stable state. The other state is a temporary, quasi-stable state that lasts for a specific duration determined by circuit components.

When a monostable multivibrator is triggered by an external signal or pulse, it transitions from its stable state to its quasi-stable state. This temporary state persists for a predetermined period. Once this period elapses, the circuit automatically returns to its original stable state. This behavior makes monostable multivibrators useful for generating single pulses of a specific width in response to an input trigger. They are commonly employed in timing circuits, pulse generation, and signal shaping applications. The duration of the quasi-stable state is typically set by the values of a resistor and capacitor within the circuit.
