Monikäyttöiset is a Finnish term used to describe objects, systems or designs that serve several distinct purposes. The word comes from moni-, meaning many, and käyttö, meaning use. Monikäyttöinen describes a single item, while monikäyttöiset refers to multiple such items in a category. The concept is common in Finnish design discourse, where versatility and space efficiency are valued.

Monikäyttöiset appear across product design, furniture, architecture, software and consumer electronics. In furniture, multipurpose pieces such as sofa beds, extendable tables or modular units combine several functions in one object.
