Organization within modding communities is typically decentralized, driven by volunteers who act as maintainers, moderators, and contributors. Licensing and attribution practices vary, with many mods released under open licenses or permissive terms. Documentation, version control, and clear dependency or load-order information are common governance tools to reduce conflicts between mods.
