Mitmeobjektiivne

Mitmeobjektiivne is an Estonian word that translates to "multi-objective" in English. It is commonly used in fields such as optimization, decision-making, and engineering when a problem involves simultaneously satisfying or optimizing more than one objective. These objectives may be conflicting, meaning that improving one objective can lead to a worsening of another.

In multi-objective optimization, the goal is not to find a single "best" solution but rather a set of solutions known as the Pareto front. A solution is considered Pareto optimal if it is not possible to improve any objective without degrading at least one other objective. Decision-makers then choose a solution from this Pareto front based on their preferences and the specific context of the problem.
