Mimikens

Mimikens are a term used in speculative biology and science fiction to describe a group of organisms that rely primarily on mimicry for survival. In these depictions, mimikens can imitate other organisms, objects, or environmental features to avoid predators or lure prey, and they may change form across life stages.

In hypothetical models, mimikens exhibit morphological plasticity, rapid color and pattern changes via chromatophore-like cells, and behavioral adaptations such as imitation of movement patterns. Some accounts describe chemical cues that mimic pheromones to misdirect other species.
