Mikroszkóptípusok refers to the various classifications and designs of microscopes. The fundamental purpose of all microscopes is to magnify small objects, making them visible to the human eye. Microscopes can be broadly categorized based on their illumination source and the principles of image formation they employ.

Optical microscopes are the most common type and utilize visible light to illuminate a specimen. Within optical microscopy, several subtypes exist. Compound light microscopes use a system of lenses to achieve high magnification, typically employing a transmitted light source that passes through the specimen. This is suitable for observing thin samples like cells and microorganisms. Stereo microscopes, also known as dissecting microscopes, provide a lower magnification and a three-dimensional view, ideal for examining larger, opaque objects, and for manipulation under magnification. Fluorescence microscopes use specific wavelengths of light to excite fluorescent molecules within a sample, causing them to emit light of a different color, enabling the visualization of specific structures or processes.

Beyond optical microscopes, there are electron microscopes, which use a beam of electrons instead of light for illumination. These offer much higher resolution and magnification than optical microscopes, allowing for the observation of extremely fine details, such as viruses and the internal structures of cells. Transmission electron microscopes (TEM) pass electrons through a very thin specimen, while scanning electron microscopes (SEM) scan a beam of electrons across the surface of a sample, producing detailed images of the surface topography. Digital microscopes are a more recent development, often incorporating a digital camera to capture images directly to a computer, facilitating easy documentation and sharing. The choice of microscope type depends heavily on the size of the object to be viewed, the level of detail required, and whether a two-dimensional or three-dimensional image is needed.
