Mikrohärtewert
Mikrohärtewert is a measure of the resistance of a material to plastic deformation under a very small load. It is determined using a microhardness testing method, which involves pressing a small indenter into the surface of the material with a controlled force. The size of the indentation left behind is then measured, and the microhardness value is calculated based on the load applied and the dimensions of the indentation.
This testing method is particularly useful for evaluating the hardness of thin films, coatings, or small components
The microhardness value is typically expressed in units of Vickers hardness (HV) or Knoop hardness (HK). Factors
