Mezhdurechensk

Mezhdurechensk is a city in Kemerovo Oblast, Russia, located in the southwestern part of Western Siberia. It is situated at the confluence of the Tom and Usya rivers, approximately 300 kilometers south of Kemerovo, the administrative center of the oblast. The city's economy is primarily based on coal mining.

The history of Mezhdurechensk began in the early 20th century with the discovery of coal deposits. The settlement that would become Mezhdurechensk was established in 1917.
