Metallplättchen, commonly known as metal washers or flat washers, are simple mechanical components used primarily to distribute load and prevent loosening in threaded fasteners. These circular discs, typically made from steel, stainless steel, aluminum, or other metals, feature a central hole designed to fit over a bolt or screw shank.
