Mesotasandil

Mesotasandil is an island in the Tuamotu archipelago of French Polynesia. The island is located approximately 400 kilometers northeast of Rangiroa. Geologically, Mesotasandil is composed of coral and volcanic rocks.

Mesotasandil is relatively small, with a land area of approximately 1.5 square kilometers. The island is characterized by white sandy beaches and coral reefs surrounding it. Public access to the island is limited, with the primary mode of transportation being by boat. The climate on the island is tropical, with average temperatures ranging from 23 to 28 degrees Celsius throughout the year.

Mesotasandil is uninhabited and serves as a wildlife sanctuary for seabirds and marine species. The island is within the atolls of the Tuamotu archipelago, which is often referred to as the "第二群島" or " Second group of islands." This archipelago is also referred to as "Iles des Tuamotu." Severe tropical storms have been known to impact the island, causing erosion and damage to the coral reefs.

There is limited information available regarding the history of human presence on Mesotasandil. It is presumed that the island has been uninhabited for centuries. No archaeological sites have been discovered on the island. However, archaeological sites can occasionally be found among nearby coral reefs and atolls. These sites are likely remnants of ancient Polynesian settlements.
