Meghajtómvek

Meghajtómvek is a Hungarian term that translates to "driveshafts" or "propeller shafts" in English. These are essential components in many mechanical systems, particularly in vehicles, responsible for transmitting rotational power from a power source, such as an engine or transmission, to a driven component, such as a wheel or axle.

A typical meghajtómvek consists of a shaft, usually made of steel, with universal joints or constant velocity (CV) joints at each end. Universal joints allow for changes in angle between the connected components, which is crucial as the suspension moves and the engine and driven axle are not always perfectly aligned. CV joints are used when a more consistent angular velocity transmission is required, especially at steeper angles, commonly found in front-wheel-drive vehicles.
