Megfeszítése

Megfeszítése is a Hungarian term that translates to "crucifixion" in English. It refers to the method of execution and torture where a person is fixed to a cross or an upright stake and left to hang. Historically, crucifixion was a brutal and agonizing form of capital punishment employed by various ancient civilizations, including the Romans, Persians, and Carthaginians.

The practice was known for its extreme suffering, which could last for days. Victims typically died from a combination of factors, including exhaustion, dehydration, shock, and asphyxiation. The physical pain was immense, and the public nature of crucifixions served as a deterrent to others.
