Medleyer

Medleyer is an informal term used to describe a person who creates or performs medleys—musical pieces that blend several songs, tunes, or themes into a single arrangement. The word combines medley with the agentive suffix -er, and it is not part of standard music lexicon. Because it is informal, its usage varies by community and region.

In music and entertainment, a medleyer may be a DJ, arranger, tribute act, or content creator who constructs medleys for live performances, radio mixsets, or online videos. They typically select a sequence of tracks, craft transitions, and manage tempo and key shifts to ensure a cohesive flow. Medleyers may release recorded medleys as single track releases, or present them as live medleys during concerts or streaming sessions.

In sports, medley can refer to the individual medley events in swimming; some informal sources might use medleyer to describe an athlete who competes in medley races, though standard terminology is medley swimmer or individual medley specialist. The term is rarely used in official settings and can be considered nonstandard.
