Markkinakertoimet, or market multipliers, are financial valuation metrics used to assess the relative worth of a company or asset compared to its peers or the broader market. They express a company's value in relation to a specific financial metric, such as earnings, revenue, or book value. The most common market multiplier is the price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio, which divides the current market price of a company's stock by its earnings per share. Other frequently used multipliers include price-to-sales (P/S) ratio, price-to-book (P/B) ratio, and enterprise value to EBITDA (EV/EBITDA).
These multipliers are useful for making comparisons between companies within the same industry or sector, as
