Malemots

Malemots are a fictional species originating from the planet Xylos in the Andromeda galaxy. They are characterized by their bioluminescent skin, which emits a soft blue light in low-light conditions, and their four prehensile limbs, each ending in three dexterous digits. Malemots are typically small, averaging around one meter in height, with large, multifaceted eyes that grant them exceptional vision.

Their physiology is adapted to Xylos's dense, subterranean cave systems. The bioluminescence is believed to aid in communication and navigation within these dark environments. Malemots possess a unique respiratory system that allows them to extract oxygen from the methane-rich atmosphere of their home world. Their diet consists primarily of subterranean fungi and small, phosphorescent insects.

Socially, Malemots live in communal groups called "Glows," which are organized around shared tasks and resource management. They are known for their intricate patterns of light communication, using variations in intensity and frequency to convey complex emotions and information.
