Magnetointivärit

Magnetointivärit, often translated as magnet paint or magnetic paint, is a type of paint that contains fine iron particles suspended within it. When applied to a surface, it creates a magnetic base that can attract and hold small magnetic objects, such as magnets or magnetic toys. The paint itself is not inherently magnetic and does not generate a magnetic field; it merely provides a surface with ferrous content that magnets can adhere to.

The application of magnetointivärit is similar to that of regular paint. It can be applied with a brush, roller, or spray gun. Multiple coats are usually recommended to achieve optimal magnetic strength. Once dry, the painted surface can be further decorated with other paints, wallpaper, or fabric to conceal the metallic nature of the underlying layer and achieve a desired aesthetic. This allows for the creation of functional magnetic surfaces in various environments, from children's rooms and play areas to offices and kitchens.

The effectiveness of magnetointivärit depends on the concentration and type of iron particles used, as well as the number of coats applied. While it provides a magnetic surface, it is generally not as strong as a solid magnetic sheet. Therefore, it is best suited for holding lightweight items.
