Machbased is a framework and data standard designed for high-speed aerodynamics research and engineering. It provides a Mach-number–centric approach to describing, sharing, and comparing models, experiments, and simulations across different solvers and facilities. The central idea is to parameterize geometry, boundary conditions, turbulence models, and numerical schemes using a common set of Mach-based descriptors and nondimensional groups, enabling direct cross-comparison of results at similar flow regimes.
