Maatkare
Maatkare was an ancient Egyptian deity whose name is a compound of Maʿat, the personification of truth and cosmic order, and the theophoric element kare, meaning “to be” or “to be present”. The designation often appears in temple inscriptions from the New Kingdom and, less frequently, on tomb walls in the Theban highlands. Scholars interpret Maatkare either as a local aspect or epithet of the broader goddess Maʿat or as a distinct cultic figure associated with the maintenance of societal harmony.
