Maastokykyä is a Finnish term that translates to "off-road capability" or "terrain handling" in English. It refers to the ability of a vehicle, particularly a wheeled or tracked one, to traverse difficult and uneven terrain without becoming stuck or losing traction. This capability is crucial for vehicles designed for use in environments such as forests, construction sites, agricultural fields, or military operations.

Several factors contribute to a vehicle's maastokykyä. These include its ground clearance, which is the distance between the lowest point of the vehicle's underside and the ground, allowing it to pass over obstacles.
