MRIvizsgálattal (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is a non-invasive medical imaging technique used to visualize the internal structures of the body. It employs a powerful magnetic field and radio waves to generate detailed images of the body's organs, tissues, and bones. MRI is particularly valuable for diagnosing a wide range of conditions, including brain disorders, spinal problems, and musculoskeletal issues.

The MRI procedure begins with the patient lying inside a large, cylindrical machine called an MRI scanner. The scanner uses a strong magnetic field to align the protons in the body's water molecules. Radiofrequency pulses are then used to disrupt this alignment, and the subsequent relaxation of the protons generates a signal that is detected by the scanner's coils. This signal is processed by a computer to produce cross-sectional images of the body.

MRI is known for its high resolution and contrast, which allows for the visualization of soft tissues, such as the brain, spinal cord, and muscles, with great detail. It is also useful for detecting abnormalities like tumors, inflammation, and structural changes. However, MRI is not suitable for patients with certain metal implants or pacemakers, as these can be affected by the magnetic field.

The procedure is generally safe and painless, although some patients may experience discomfort or claustrophobia due to the confined space of the scanner. The duration of the examination varies depending on the area being scanned, typically ranging from 30 minutes to an hour. After the scan, the patient can usually leave the facility and resume normal activities.
