MOFbased
MOFbased is a term used to describe materials and systems that incorporate metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) as a primary component or scaffold. While the more common form in the literature is MOF-based, some authors and branding use the compact form MOFbased. In general, MOFbased materials include MOF crystals themselves, MOF–based composites with polymers or inorganic oxides, and MOF-derived or MOF-templated structures.
Metal-organic frameworks are crystalline, porous materials built from metal nodes connected by organic linkers. The resulting
Synthesis and modification of MOFbased systems span conventional solvothermal or hydrothermal routes to more advanced techniques
Applications of MOFbased materials are broad, including gas storage and separation (e.g., CO2 capture, hydrogen storage),
