Lõikeagedus

Lõikeagedus refers to the cutting frequency or cutting rate in the context of mechanical engineering and manufacturing. It quantifies how many times a cutting tool interacts with the workpiece per unit of time during a machining operation. This parameter is crucial for determining the efficiency and productivity of a machining process, as well as influencing the surface finish and tool wear.

The unit of lõikeagedus is typically Hertz (Hz) or cycles per minute (cpm). It is directly related to the rotational speed of the workpiece or the cutting tool and the number of cutting edges or teeth present on the tool. For example, in milling, if a milling cutter has four teeth and rotates at 1000 rpm, the lõikeagedus would be 4000 cpm, meaning 4000 individual cutting actions occur every minute.

A higher lõikeagedus generally leads to a faster material removal rate, thus increasing productivity. However, it can also result in increased heat generation at the cutting zone, potentially leading to faster tool wear and a poorer surface finish if not managed properly. Conversely, a lower lõikeagedus might reduce productivity but could be beneficial for achieving finer surface finishes or when machining difficult-to-cut materials. The optimal lõikeagedus is determined by various factors, including the material being cut, the cutting tool material and geometry, the cutting fluid used, and the desired outcome of the machining process.
