Lærer

Lærer is the term used in Danish and Norwegian for a person who educates students. In these languages, a lærer plans and delivers lessons, assesses student learning, and supports their intellectual and social development in schools and other educational settings. The noun differs from the verb forms of lære/lære, which mean to learn or to teach depending on the construction.

Responsibilities include designing curricula and instructional activities, presenting material, monitoring progress, providing feedback, and maintaining a safe and inclusive classroom. Teachers collaborate with colleagues, participate in school planning, and communicate with guardians about student progress and needs. They may adapt instruction to accommodate diverse learners and special education requirements.
