Lämpölaminointiin
Lämpölaminointiin, known in English as thermal lamination, is a process used to apply a protective plastic film to a substrate using heat and pressure. This technique is commonly employed to enhance the durability, appearance, and longevity of various printed materials such as documents, photographs, menus, and ID cards. The lamination process involves feeding the item to be laminated into a laminating machine, which contains heated rollers. A pre-adhesive coated plastic film, typically polyester or polypropylene, is fed alongside the item. As the materials pass through the heated rollers, the adhesive on the film melts and bonds to the surface of the item, creating a sealed, protective layer once it cools.
The primary benefits of thermal lamination include increased resistance to moisture, dirt, tearing, and fading. This
