Lyrland
Lyrland is a sovereign state on the central Veridian coast. It borders the Sea of Lyr to the west, the Verdane Highlands to the north, and the Delian Plain to the east. The climate is temperate maritime, with mild winters and moderate rainfall. The population is about 3.9 million, with Lyrish as the official language and smaller communities speaking Eldan and Verish. The capital is Lyra, and the seat of government is in Lyra City. Lyrland is a constitutional monarchy; the monarch serves as a largely ceremonial head of state, while a prime minister heads the government and is accountable to a two-chamber legislature—the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies.
Lyrland covers about 68,000 square kilometers. Its terrain includes coastal plains, river valleys, and upland forests.
Historically, Lyrland emerged as a loose federation of duchies in the medieval period and achieved broad autonomy
