Lingaraj
Lingaraj Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the oldest and largest temples in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. The temple is a prominent landmark and a major tourist attraction. It is believed to have been built in the 11th century by King Jajati Keshari of the Somvanshi dynasty, although parts of the temple might be older. The architecture of the temple is a fine example of Kalinga architecture, characterized by its towering spire (shikhara) which reaches a height of about 180 feet. The temple complex is vast and includes several smaller shrines dedicated to various deities.
