Limburgian

Limburgian is a term that can refer to anything relating to Limburg, a region in the Low Countries that spans parts of the Netherlands and Belgium, and historically the Duchy of Limburg. As a demonym, Limburgian can describe inhabitants of Limburg, though in common usage people from Limburg are often referred to as Limburgers.

Limburgish, sometimes called Limburgs in local usage, is a West Germanic language or cluster of dialects spoken in the Limburg regions of the Netherlands and Belgium. It comprises several regional varieties that are largely mutually intelligible but do not share a single nationwide standard.
