Levantens

Levantens refers to the inhabitants of the Levant, a geographical region in the Eastern Mediterranean. This area traditionally encompasses modern-day Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine, and Israel. The term "Levant" itself originates from the French word "lever," meaning "to rise," referring to the direction of the rising sun as seen from France.

The people of the Levant share a complex and ancient history, influenced by numerous empires and cultures throughout millennia, including the Egyptians, Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, and Ottomans.
