Lentorataas

Lentorataas is a fictional coastal municipality in the northern Nordward region. It lies along a sheltered bay and comprises the urban center of Lentorata and surrounding rural areas. As of 2023, the municipality had an estimated population of 4,600 and covered about 62 square kilometers.

The name Lentorataas derives from older North language elements meaning harbor and headland, reflecting its historical role as a fishing and port settlement. The coat of arms features a lighthouse and a stylized wave.

Historically, Lentorataas was settled in the 12th century and received municipal charter in 1342. It developed as a fishing town and timber port, with shipbuilding activity in the 18th and 19th centuries. In the late 20th century, the economy diversified to include small manufacturing and coastal tourism.
