Lejeforholdet
Lejeforholdet is the legal relationship between a landlord (udlejer) and a tenant (lejer) arising from a lease of residential or commercial premises. In Denmark it is primarily governed by the Lejeloven (tenancy act) and related regulations, which set out the rights and duties of both parties. The arrangement can be created orally or in writing, but a written lease is strongly preferred to avoid disputes.
