Leimdübels
Leimdübels, also known as dowels or wooden dowels, are cylindrical pins made of wood that are used as fasteners or alignment aids in woodworking and construction. They are typically made from hardwoods like beech, oak, or maple, chosen for their strength and durability. Leimdübels are inserted into pre-drilled holes in two pieces of material, and then glue is applied to the dowel and the inside of the holes before the pieces are joined. This creates a strong, hidden joint that is reinforced by the dowel.
The primary function of leimdübels is to provide alignment and added strength to glued joints. In furniture
