Leafrollassociated
Leafrollassociated refers to a group of viral diseases that affect grapevines. These diseases are caused by several distinct Grapevine Leafroll viruses, which belong to the family Closteroviridae. The most common and economically significant are Grapevine Leafroll-associated virus 1 (GLRaV-1) through Grapevine Leafroll-associated virus 4 (GLRaV-4), and Grapevine Leafroll-associated virus 3 (GLRaV-3) is often considered the most prevalent.
Symptoms typically include reddening of the leaves in red grape varieties and yellowing in white grape varieties.
Leafroll viruses are primarily spread through infected planting material. Grafting is a common method for propagating
Diagnosis can be achieved through molecular methods such as PCR or ELISA, which detect the viral RNA
