Latticedependence is a term used to describe the phenomenon where the properties of a material or system are significantly influenced by the specific arrangement of its constituent atoms or molecules, often referred to as its crystal lattice. This dependence arises because the spatial organization of these building blocks dictates how they interact with each other and with external forces or fields.

In solid-state physics, latticedependence is fundamental to understanding a material's electrical conductivity, optical absorption, and mechanical strength.
