Lattiaverkko is a term used in construction and engineering, particularly in Finnish contexts, referring to a reinforcing mesh or grid used in concrete floor slabs. It is typically made of welded steel wires arranged in a rectangular or square pattern. The purpose of the lattiaverkko is to provide tensile strength to the concrete, helping it resist cracking caused by shrinkage, thermal expansion, and applied loads.

The mesh is placed within the concrete pour, usually in the lower or middle section of the slab, to effectively counteract the tensile stresses that develop. The spacing and diameter of the steel wires are determined by the expected load-bearing requirements and the thickness of the concrete slab.
