Lamelloimalla refers to the woodworking technique of joining pieces of wood using lamello biscuits and a biscuit joiner. The term derives from Lamello AG, a company best known for popularizing the modern biscuit joinery system in the 20th century. The method is used to create strong, aligned, and concealed joints between panels or boards, particularly for edge-to-edge joins and cabinet or furniture assembly.

Procedure typically involves marking the joint and choosing a suitable biscuit size. A biscuit joiner is used to cut matching slots in each board edge. Glue is applied to the biscuits and to the slot surfaces, the biscuits are pressed into one side, and the boards are aligned and clamped together until the adhesive cures. Proper alignment and clamping are essential to ensure a square and flush joint.

Advantages of lamelloimalla include quick assembly, precise alignment, and the ability to position parts before the glue sets. Joints are generally strong for many furniture applications and the system allows some tolerance for wood movement.

Limitations and considerations include the need for accurate milling and slot alignment, as well as added thickness at joints. While suitable for many furniture and cabinet applications, lamello joints may not be ideal for high-stress structural connections compared with traditional mortise-and-tenon or dowel joints.
