Lakótelepeken
Lakótelepek, often translated as housing estates or residential areas, are a common feature of urban and suburban landscapes, particularly in Central and Eastern Europe. These large-scale housing projects were predominantly built during the socialist era, from the mid-20th century onwards, to address housing shortages and provide standardized living conditions for a growing population. The typical lakótelep consists of a collection of multi-story apartment buildings, often constructed from prefabricated concrete panels, arranged in a relatively uniform manner.
