LSDP, or the Liberal-Socialist Democratic Party, was a political party in the United Kingdom that existed from 1981 to 1991. It was formed by a merger between the Liberal Party and the Social Democratic Party, both of which had been founded in the 1980s as responses to the rise of the Conservative Party under Margaret Thatcher.
