LINC
LINC is an acronym that can refer to more than one topic in different fields. In genomics, lincRNA stands for long intergenic non-coding RNA, a class of RNA transcripts longer than about 200 nucleotides that do not code for proteins and are located between protein-coding genes. LincRNAs are associated with regulation of gene expression, chromatin structure, and various cellular processes, though their precise functions are still under study.
In computing, the Laboratory Instrument Computer (LINC) was an early interactive minicomputer developed in the 1960s
Other uses of the acronym LINC exist in different organizations, projects, or programs, but the two examples
