LEDsirulla

LEDsirulla is a Finnish term that translates to "LED chip" or "LED die." It refers to the smallest functional unit of a light-emitting diode (LED) that produces light when an electric current passes through it. These tiny semiconductor devices are the core components of all LED lighting products.

A typical LED chip is made of semiconductor materials, commonly gallium nitride (GaN) or aluminum gallium indium phosphide (AlGaInP). When electricity flows through the p-n junction within the semiconductor, electrons and holes recombine, releasing energy in the form of photons, which we perceive as light. The color of the light emitted depends on the specific semiconductor materials used.

LED chips are incredibly small, often measuring less than a millimeter in any dimension. They are typically encased in a protective material, such as epoxy resin, and mounted on a substrate for thermal management and electrical connection. The efficiency and lifespan of an LED lighting product are directly influenced by the quality and design of its LED chips. Advancements in LEDsirulla technology have led to increasingly brighter, more energy-efficient, and longer-lasting lighting solutions, driving the widespread adoption of LED technology across various applications, from general illumination to specialized industrial and medical uses.
