LDHértékek refers to the measured levels of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) in the blood. Lactate dehydrogenase is an enzyme found in nearly all tissues of the body, particularly in the heart, liver, kidneys, muscles, and red blood cells. When cells are damaged or destroyed, they release LDH into the bloodstream. Therefore, elevated LDH levels in a blood test can indicate tissue damage or disease.

Normal LDH levels can vary slightly depending on the laboratory performing the test, but typically range from about 100 to 250 units per liter (U/L). Higher than normal LDH values can be caused by a wide range of conditions. These include heart attack, liver disease (such as hepatitis or cirrhosis), kidney disease, muscle injury or disease (like muscular dystrophy or strenuous exercise), anemia (especially hemolytic anemia where red blood cells are destroyed), certain cancers (such as lymphoma or leukemia), and infections.

In some cases, LDH levels can also be elevated due to normal physiological processes, such as strenuous physical activity. However, persistently high LDH values usually warrant further investigation to determine the underlying cause. Doctors use LDH measurements in conjunction with other diagnostic tests and the patient's medical history to help diagnose and monitor various medical conditions. The specific pattern of LDH isoenzymes (different forms of the enzyme) can sometimes provide more specific clues about the location of the tissue damage.
