LASLASzip

LASLASzip is a lossless data compression utility developed by Lars Norgren. It is designed to compress LAS files, which are standard file formats for storing LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) point cloud data. The primary goal of LASLASzip is to reduce the file size of LAS datasets without any loss of information. This is achieved through various compression algorithms tailored to the characteristics of point cloud data, such as repeating patterns and numerical similarities.
