Lävistyshäiriöitä
Lävistyshäiriöitä, commonly known as piercing disorders, refers to a range of physical and psychological conditions that can arise from or be associated with body piercings. Physically, complications can include infection, allergic reactions to jewelry materials, keloid formation, migration of the piercing, and tearing. Infections can manifest as redness, swelling, pain, and discharge, and may require medical attention, including antibiotics. Keloids are raised scars that can form at the piercing site, often requiring treatment such as corticosteroid injections or surgical removal. Piercing migration occurs when the piercing moves from its original position, and tearing can happen if the jewelry is caught or pulled.
Psychologically, piercing disorders can encompass body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) where an individual has a distorted view
