Lähimaksuominaisuus, also known as contactless payment, is a technology that allows for secure and convenient transactions without the need for physical contact between a payment card or device and a payment terminal. It utilizes near-field communication (NFC) technology, a short-range wireless communication standard that enables two electronic devices to exchange data when they are brought close to each other, typically within a few centimeters.
