Käyttökertymä is a Finnish term that translates roughly to "usage accumulation" or "accumulated usage." In various contexts, it refers to the total amount of a resource that has been consumed or utilized over a specific period. This concept is most commonly encountered in telecommunications, particularly concerning mobile data plans and internet subscriptions.

When a user signs up for a mobile data plan, they are typically allocated a certain amount of data, often measured in gigabytes (GB), to use each month. Käyttökertymä then tracks how much of this allocated data the user has actually consumed. For example, if a plan includes 10 GB of data per month, and the user has used 3.5 GB by the middle of the month, their käyttökertymä for that period is 3.5 GB.

Understanding one's käyttökertymä is important for managing mobile data usage and avoiding unexpected charges. Many service providers offer tools, such as mobile apps or online portals, where users can monitor their current usage and see their remaining data allowance.
