Kuvionan

Kuvionan is a city-state and major port on the Kuvionan Archipelago, located off the southern coast of the fictional continent of Eldoria. The capital and largest urban center, it functions as the political and economic hub of the archipelago. Geographically, the core lies on Kuvion City Island, with surrounding islets linked by bridges and causeways; the harbor handles container ships, bulk cargo, and ferries.

History and governance: Settled by seafaring clans in the early Middle Ages, Kuvionan grew through merchant trade and shipbuilding. It maintained de facto independence while trading with neighboring realms, and in 1904 joined the Eldorian Trade Confederation. Today it is a constitutional parliamentary republic. Economy: The port is the centerpiece of a diversified economy that includes shipping, shipbuilding, fishing, logistics, and financial services. The currency is the Kuv, and key exports include seafood, machinery, and plastics. The government pursues sustainable energy and blue economy initiatives.

Culture and demographics: The population is approximately 320,000, with Kuvionan as the official language and Eldorian as a common second language. Cities host festivals such as the Sea Gate Festival; cuisine emphasizes seafood and citrus. Education is served by the University of Kuvionan and the Maritime Institute.

Landmarks and transport: Notable sites include Grand Docks, Old Town Gate, Marble Market, and the High Observatory. Transport includes a light-rail network, ferries between islands, and an international airport near the port.
