Kurupt, born Ricardo Emmanuel Brown Jr., is an American rapper and producer. He rose to prominence in the 1990s as a member of the hip-hop supergroup Tha Dogg Pound, alongside Daz Dillinger. Kurupt is known for his rapid-fire delivery and complex lyrical structures, often incorporating internal rhymes and intricate wordplay.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Kurupt moved to Los Angeles as a teenager and quickly became involved in the burgeoning West Coast hip-hop scene. His association with Death Row Records and Dr. Dre was instrumental in his early career. He released his debut solo album, "Kuruption!," in 1996, which showcased his lyrical prowess and established him as a formidable solo artist.
